I've tasted blood (no pun intended)! Making icons is kind of addictive, as my aching neck could tell you.
So I decided to participate here:

There's still the chance to
http://lims-btvs.livejournal.com/95586.html
, but only for a few hours (11 pm ET), and everyone gets a skip point, so you could still participate even if you hadn't an icon for the first challenge!
There's a really, really strong competition, so I won't last long, but that's okay. I just want to take the challenge to do something with pics I haven't chosen myself and make something with it.
*Off to sign up*

Date: May. 21st, 2016 11:07 pm (UTC)From:What worries me about the elimination thing is to pick someone elses icon to be the least good. That's something I hate to do. Plus - I never can decide. Also, from what I know of those participating, there's not to be expected anything not good! Ah well.

Date: May. 26th, 2016 08:35 pm (UTC)From:I hope you'll be trying again next round, and that you'll continue to participate in the voting. And not just because you happened to vote for my icon this round :-) (I'm allowed to say that was my icon now, I think. Anyway, thanks for voting for it!)

If I understood it right, there'll be a come back challenge. Maybe I'll try again, we'll see if I'll find the time then.
I'm happy that I voted for yours!
Thank you so much for your words, it really helps that you and satin_red_doll didn't think mine was one of the worst!!! Thanks for telling me again!

This is my first time participating in a lims/last icon standing type of comm. The idea of offering constructive criticism and feedback is right up my alley, and yet I'm finding it harder to vote than I anticipated!

Date: May. 23rd, 2016 09:21 pm (UTC)From:I'm all for constructive criticism. That's how we learn to get better. Except I'm never so sure I find the right words to not just make it sound like criticism. Without the constructive part, and I'm terribly afraid to accidentally hurt someone's feelings. Which would be a nightmare for me. Oh well.
Also, it's not so easy to give advice if you're a beginner like I am. I just don't know enough about it yet...
But it's very exciting, and I'm really looking forward to the next challenge. I'm curious if I even will have any idea how to meet the conditions...(Like - anything with a circle? I'm out. :D)
Thanks for the praise, again! *still blushes*
