I actually couldn't believe it. Even less than the first time, and let me tell you, I checked for five minutes then wether I really understood it right.

I've been nominated again, but this time - for one of my icons! An icon of me is nominated at wicked_awards ! Can you believe that? I still barely can!
It's this one:



I still feel weird with all the bragging, that's usually not my style (and other than certain bleached blonde ones, I really mean that), but I have to tell someone who understands how truly fantastic I feel with this! It's not about getting congrats.
And I don't need to win. Being nominated - I already won.

Whoever did this - thank you so, so much! It was a wonderful present!

As one of the rising stars of icon making (if you ask me) you totally have a right to brag! I love the mood you created with that Anya icon. But I can think of several more of your icons that would have deserved a nomination too.

A rising star - I appreciate your faith in me, but - uh, no. I got lucky with some icons, but I'm so far away from what you and others are able to create, and I doubt I'll have much time in the next months to learn much more, starting with a new first grade class at school in two weeks and all.

Thanks for your words, though! They make me happy all the same :) (not only about the Anya icon (and wow, thank you so much for those alone!), but also those about some other icons... :) )

Thank you for those kind words, but the sims Internet community actually is a very lively and creative one and there are many that are much, much, much more talented than I am. The Sims was the reason that I landed on Livejournal a couple of years ago, but when the simmers moved on to Tumblr (google and you'll se) I didn't follow. It's a snap-happy crowd (I suck at taking pictures and I don't like to do it - it feels like a chore) and the pacing at Tumblr was just too much for me. I do want to share my interest with others, but I have a couple of acquaintences left here and that is enough for me.

I don't get Tumblr. Follow a discussion there including understanding who said what or finding something I look for seems to be impossible for me. I guess I'm too old.

I don't understand that you're seldom nominated. Your work is excellent and very unique. It must be annoying, seeing a total newbie like me, who doesn't have talent and skills even close to yours being nominated after such a short time, and even though I'm absolutely happy about it, I'm also kind of embarrassed... You are nominated too, though, and rightly so! Congrats to that!

No annoyance - I've long ago accepted that my artwork does not appeal to many. I'm very happy for you that you are creating art and having such a great time. I encourage people to do art or any creative work - I love doing art.
