Nominated!

Yay!!!

I'm nominated at  [livejournal.com profile] wicked_awards! To be exact - the last (double) drabble I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] sb_fag_ends is! I can't even tell you how happy that made me! I feel honored and am flattered by the company I find myself in!

So, whoever did it - thank you so much!

Can't you put lj on the white list of your email provider (or the email programm if you use one, depending on where it get's classified as spam) ? It kind of derails the notification service if the emails can't get through...

I keep marking the notifications as "Not spam" but that doesn't make any difference. I've been meaning to contact my email provider about it, but didn't get around to it yet.

Stupidly the only mails that do get through the spam filter are spam mails, while the notifications from LJ (and also BuffyTube) all end up in the spam folder... It's the world upside down!

Yeah, I REALLY should be contacting my provider.

I think the marking only works in the beginning, when the program ist set to 'learn'; or at least it doesn't learn fast enough later, once it's set.

There should be the possibility to put the addresses in question on a white list, that means that your provider knows it's a friendly address and no spam. Depending on if you work with the provider directly or if you use an extra programm on your computer for easier access, it'll be found either on your account page or in the 'settings'.

Try google. It knows an answer to every problem.

Nope, no white list... There's only a black list of blocked senders that I can edit, but LJ isn't on it! In the end I've just turned the spam filter off for this particular email address. It was just being counterproductive anyway. Now I'm getting my notifications again. As I said, upside down world :-)

If there's not an explicit white list, it should work to add the email address in question to your address list. But switching the spamfilter off works too, I guess :)
